How to Reset a Password

Created by Lawrence Njobo, Modified on Tue, 27 May at 4:12 PM by Lawrence Njobo

  1. Go to the ICAZ Login Page: Visit the ICAZ website and click on the “Sign In” option. On the login form, choose “Forgot password?” This will take you to the password reset request page.

  1. Submit a Password Reset Request: Enter your registered email address or username associated with your ICAZ account. Submit the request to initiate a reset. The system will send a password reset link to your email.
  2. Check Your Email: Open your inbox and find the message from ICAZ. Tip: Check your Spam or Junk folder if you don’t see the email in your inbox. The email will contain a password reset link. Note: The link is time-sensitive and usually expires within 30 minutes.

  1. Click the Reset Link: Click on the link in the email, which will open a secure page to set a new password. If the link doesn’t open directly, copy and paste it into your browser’s address bar.
  2. Enter a New Password: On the reset page, you will be prompted to enter a new password.
    Password Requirements:
    • At least 6 characters long
    • Include at least 2 non-alphanumeric symbols (e.g. @, #, !, $)
  3. Type your new password twice to confirm, then submit.
  4. Confirmation: After submitting, you should see a message confirming that your password has been changed. You can now log in using your new password.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • No Reset Email Received: If you do not get the reset email within a few minutes, check your Spam/Junk folder. If it’s not there, try the “Forgot password” step again to ensure the email was entered correctly. If you still don’t receive an email, contact ICAZ IT support for assistance – they can manually trigger a reset email or set a temporary password for you.
  • Expired Link: If you click the link and see a message that it’s expired or invalid, repeat the reset request. Use the new link promptly, as earlier links expire for security.
  • Password Recently Used: Ensure the new password isn’t one you’ve used recently. The system might reject passwords too similar to past ones. Choose a fresh, strong password.
  • Confirmation Email: After resetting, you might receive a confirmation email that your password was changed. If you did not initiate the change, contact support immediately. Otherwise, you can proceed to log in.

Following these steps will allow you to regain access to your ICAZ member portal by resetting your password securely. Always keep your password confidential and update it periodically for security.
